Owner and Executive Director, Kristin Lanes, knew she wanted to work with children from an early age. Opening an early learning center had be a lifelong dream.
Originally born in California, Kristin returned to her parent’s Colorado roots as a teenager.
Kristin obtained her degree from Metropolitan State University, Denver in Human Development with a concentration in elementary education. Using focused play as a educational cornerstone, her goal with H&H Early Learning to provide a nurturing, fun and safe place for children to be.
Kathy’s passion is children—she loves nothing better than walking into a classroom and being greeted with enthusiasm and unconditional love.
Kathy has been working in child care for 24 years having received her Associates of Arts from Red Rocks Community College. Ten years ago, Kathy became the director of a local child care center; when that center closed, she brought her team with her. She says, “I had the privilege of working with an amazing group of ladies over the last 10 years and we have all recently joined the H & H team. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing program as the director.”
Kathy’s hobbies include boating, canoeing, tubing and cruising as well as camping. She looks forward to serving you and your children as part of the H & H family.
Nicole has been working as an early childhood educator for over six years. She feels very lucky to be able work beside her mom and sister, as well as her co-workers, who she considers not only to be good friends, but strong and fierce loving teachers.
Her personal approach to child care is that she believes that every child has the right to a caring and loving environment where they can grow into who they are meant to be. She thinks that H & H is that kind of place, which is why she enjoys her job, putting her best foot forward every day.
In her free time, Nicole relaxes with her guitar or spends time in nature. When she gets the chance, she enjoys traveling and exploring new cities.
Nicole encourages parents to come in and chat with her—she likes getting to know the H & H families in order to better serve them and the community.

I was born and raised in the Denver area. I come from a very large Italian family, and I am the oldest of three in our immediate family. I have two kids of my own a twelve year old daughter named Tianna and an eight year old son name Tayden. My daughter plays softball and my son plays baseball and football.
In my spare time you are more than likely to catch me on a ball field! Children are my passion, and I absolutely love what I do! Thank you for the pleasure of being a part of your child’s life.
Infant Nursery Supervisor/Lead Teacher
I have been working in child care for over six years, but even as a child, my teachers knew that I was going end up being one of them. I love every aspect of being a teacher. I can’t say that I have a favorite age group to care for because all are unique in their own special way. I am one of the Infant Nursery Supervisors and have the pleasure of watching the babies grow daily.
I have been at H & H ELC since January 2018 and love being able to watch the Center and children grow. I am excited to be part of this growing business.
When I am not working, I can be found spending time with my dog or doing something outdoors with friends.
I am excited to get to know you and your family, feel free to pop in and chat with me!

I recently moved to Colorado from Indiana with my husband. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Ball State University and have been working in child care for six years.
In my free time I enjoy hiking in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
Around six years ago, I had a life changing event that brought me into the child care world. I found this new world to my liking and found that working with these bright and cheery faces everyday was just what I needed! I began working for Kathy Lopez at her previous center and immediately loved all of the people I worked with. I have stayed in this field because it is a great, positive environment for me.
I am a Colorado native that graduated from Bear Creek High School. I enjoy softball, camping, hiking, and music. I have worked in child care for over 10 years as a Teacher’s Assistant.
I love working with kids because their imagination has no boundaries. I believe that children should have a memorable experience while being cared for by me and I love making that experience unforgettable. I am very animated because I was raised by parents who believed in me and expect me to follow my heart. I believe that ‘you reap what you sow’ is the best way to a happy life.
My name is Beth and I am originally from Michigan. I come from a family of seven children and had a great time growing up. I have two grown daughters of my own with one of them working with children. I worked as an RN for 28 years and loved it!
I am very happy to introduce myself as the newest teacher’s aide at H & H Early Learning Center! I got my start working with kids when I was just a kid myself, babysitting at 14 years old. I have been a nanny for many wonderful families, ranging in size from one to five children and ages one- to 10-years old. I also spent more than a year and a half working at a Kidstown drop-in center. After that, I spent six months in a toddler classroom at Trinity Preschool. I truly loved it and only left to attend college at CU Boulder where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies in 2012.
I am so pleased to be back to working in child care. I love doing arts and crafts, being silly and imaginative, and having the pleasure of seeing children learn and grow. Some days I feel like I learn more from them than they do from me! Thank you to the parents, staff, and especially kids at H & H for welcoming me with open arms. I look forward to getting to know you all better!
